Specsavers Monaghan located in the Monaghan Shopping Centre visited local venue Master Deery’s Bar on Saturday 5th May 2012, as they searched for Ireland’s Spectacle Wearer of the Year 2012. Specsavers were overwhelmed by all the fashionable specs wearers in Monaghan on the night and are hoping for a local representative in the Irish final! Feile Oriel is on its way to Monaghan – and Monaghan Shopping Centre has decided to release a batch of golden tickets with a Big Golden Ticket Giveaway on Saturday 5th May.

Since it’s a big bank holiday weekend with lots to celebrate, the retailers at Monaghan Shopping Centre have joined forces to contribute over €2000 worth of vouchers for their shoppers. The Monaghan Shopping Centre promotional staff will be getting out and about – they will be in the town centre and at the shopping centre between the hours of 12 – 5pm on Saturday 5th May looking for you. Ulster and Monaghan captain Darren Hughes joined Store Directors Kathleen Campbell and Martina Kelly along with Specsavers staff to cut the ribbon at the opening of the 42nd Specsavers store in Ireland, located here in the Monaghan Shopping Centre yesterday. This latest store will provide 9 full and part time jobs. Specsavers Monaghan will also be hosting a family fun day on St Patrick’s Day between 12-3pm including face painting and balloons, so be sure to pop in to the Monaghan Shopping Centre and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the Specsavers team
